Our next planned trip was to the Kroller-muller sculpture museum, which surprised me as this particular exhibit was in the forest.... o_O with an area of 25 hectare and hosts more than 100 scultpures, and there was also some animal museums and a cycling track where you can use the bikes to go cycling aroung the area ( use of the bikes are free to all )
...wow is the word...
Took us a whole day to venture around the place...so very tired...
Peek a boo!!! hahaha me and my friends took turns being cheeky on our way to see a particular sculpture XD
This sculpture was made out of steel wire, stainless steel and best of all...marble!!! Wow...i like it lots, mainly because its blue!!! hehehehe! The artist was called Luciano Fabro ( i think...it was in netherlands language, and english wasn't really widely used there )
The next sculpture we stumbled across before reaching our destination was this huge white landscape.
It was like being in a digital version of a dessert.
It was fun up on the landscape and the rock like pieces gives it more of the 'dessert' feeling, but we had to be careful as it rained earlier and the sculpture was rather slippery ( one of my friends slipped that time >_< )
On with the tour!! And this time we went up the hill, (sort of reminded me of trekking through the forest in bukit shahbandar, made me miss home that time...)
This scene reminds me like being in a movie where people were hunted by evil hunters and killed brutally.... ( forgot what it was called tho ) it was quiet when we walked along and the wind was really strong that time...very creepy....better watch out for wolves (hehehe but we all knew there weren't any XP still better safe than sorry XD )
Look look!! Bombs!! ( to keep evil dooers away, mwahahahaha! ) Forgot what this sculpture piece was called tho...hehe...
And we have arrived to the sculpture that we wanted to go to!!!
Again we don't really know what its called but it wrote
"Krijn Giezen, 1939
Kijk Uit Attention, 1986-2005
diverse materialen."
The stairs leads all the way up and it was extended some more on to the top, it had no railings and on the topmost of the stairs it was surrounded by glass wall.
It was an amazing sculpture!! We had intended to go up at first, however it had to be cancelled because the entrance was blocked and there were cameras making sure that no one goes up the stairs.
Apparrently, last year someone went up and had an accident, details were classified...and since then going up the stairs were not allowed...
Tho, one of our tutors did manage to go on the stairs before the incident occured and she described that the experience of going up the stairs were intense, there was a sense of danger and adventure while going up and once she was up on the top the only thing as safety was the 3 glass walls surrounding the area, at first she was scared because it was a danger zone all round and it was like an instant death trap if there was one wrong move, but then she said the view was absolutely amazing! and it had felt as if she was floating on the top, it must have been a very breathtaking view...
Wow... me and my friends were a bit dissapointed of not being able to go up, we would love to go but as safety does come first we decided to just move on and enjoy the other exhibits there.
So as souveniers i pretended to be a giant holding the stairs, hehehehe XD
And to our delight there was a playground quite near the bicycle parking lots so getting in touch with our childish sides we played a bit there, hehehe, i loved swings and this photo was a remembrance of me going on it and somehow managed to fall the first time upside down >_< careless me~ XP hehehhe, but it was loads of fun that time XD
And the bike parking lots had LOADS of bikes, i would love to go on, but i had no cycling experience =S
It's what i get for not wanting to learn how to ride a bike =(
*sigh*
The trip that day was fun =) the sculptures there was amazing, and we ended the day with being in vanity mode, hehehehe.
For the next update it depends on my workload as i've got artworks and couple of units to hand in by this weekend, and the week after will be busy with our exhibition >_< but i will try to post bits of things once in a while okay =)
Over and out ( hunting wolves XD *evil laughter* )
